AHS President David Cvet and board members Ken Buchholz and Gary Davis recently met with Premier Tim Houston to update him on the progress being made to construct Fundy Hospice.
The meeting was held at the Annapolis Basin Conference Centre. Also in attendance were Beth Earle, CEO of ABCC, and Jill Balser, MLA for Digby-Annapolis, who organized the meeting.
We provided the Premier with the history of Fundy Hospice’s development and updated him on our discussions with MacLeod Group Health Services about the possibility of co-locating a proposed new long-term care facility with the new residential-style Fundy Hospice planned for Cornwallis Park on land donated by ABCC. The Premier was engaged and asked some thoughtful questions about the hospice project and its potential benefits to our region.
