Hurling for Hospice at Lobster Bash and Scallop Days in Digby has raised $4,000 for Fundy Hospice. The fundraiser was organized by the Acadia Commandery of the Order of Saint Lazarus. All proceeds were matched by the Order of Saint Lazarus, leading to the fundraising total for the initiative.
Thanks to “Sir” David Cvet and his trusted knights and squires who volunteered for the event. Thank you to CTV Morning Live Atlantic and Saltwire for promoting the fundraiser (see Media Coverage section). And a big thank you to Digby-Annapolis MLA Jill Balser who made the first hurl at Scallop Days.
